Wilhelm Pöttker founds the company Pöttker & Co. In its first few years, it mainly produces bicycle parts from steel sheeting and wire.
In the 1950s, the company works as a contract punching company for the automotive supply industry. Tool construction was expanded in parallel.
Norbert Pöttker develops the first slide systems made from aluminium.
The proximity to the furniture industry leads to the first ball slide made from steel profile in Lippstadt in 1973.
Success comes with the procurement of the first profiling plant. Patented developments such as eccentric height adjustment and underfloor slides follow.
The product portfolio is significantly expanded as the 37 profile gives rise to the first Pöttker table slide.
Represented at a joint stand at Interzum just two years before, Pöttker presents on its own for the first time in 1999. The company showcases its wide spectrum of innovative, in-house developments to a worldwide audience.
Today, Pöttker works together with more than 80 per cent of German table manufacturers and is a world market leader. Its system solutions impress in a wide range of application fields, far beyond the classic table.
